Hospitality Website Design and Upgrade for Nova Scotia Restaurant
Founder’s House is an incredible restaurant nestled in a small town in Nova Scotia.
The only thing more inviting than the comfortable and welcoming atmosphere are the smells emanating from the kitchen as the high-end chef (who helped a restaurant in Wales earn a Michelin Star and later be awarded restaurant of the year) works his culinary magic.
The Problem
While the food and dining experience spoke volumes about the upscale, yet welcoming, vibe of the restaurant, their existing website wasn’t pulling its weight. It was not representative of the high-quality food, the enticing ambiance, or the overall brand Founder’s House had to offer.
The Solution
To make sure we didn’t bite off more than we could chew, we met with the owners to gain a better understanding of their vision for their website. To encourage collaboration at all stages, we listened closely to their ideas and preferences and turned those ideas into reality with our website design expertise. We knew we wanted to give them a website that was as incredible as the food on the plates.
One of the most important features of this project was ensuring that the website was image-focused and boasted a clean and modern design. We wanted to make sure that diners had a chance to experience the restaurant’s ambiance and food offerings in high definition before entering the doors. To do this, we relied heavily on high-quality images of the food and of the interior and exterior of the restaurant itself to create a visually immersive experience.
In addition to being visually appealing, the website also had to be user-friendly and easy to navigate. We ensured that the clear calls-to-action made it easy for potential diners to make reservations, browse the menus, and learn more about Founder’s House. Mobile optimization was a high priority item as well, as many potential diners would be visiting the website from their cellphones.
The entire project was highly collaborative with them providing us with everything we needed to help their vision come to life and us providing our expertise and opinions where they were needed.
